Life Shopping Global Seller Program

Hello, I’m Shine.

These days, while living in Korea, I often think about this.

“The things I see, use, and come to like in Koreamight feel really new and interesting to friends from other countries.”

When I first came to Korea, everything felt unfamiliar.

The food at convenience stores, the products displayed in cosmetic shops, and even the small everyday items people naturally use in cafésall felt like new scenes to me.

For Korean people, they may just be ordinary daily products. But for a foreign student like me,there were many moments when I thought,

“Oh, my friends back home might really like this.”

Especially things like K-Beauty, K-Food, lifestyle products, and small giftsare things you naturally get to know when you actually live in Korea.

Which cosmetics are popular, which snacks are tasty, what products Korean people really use,and how something feels when you actually try it, not just when you see it in a photo.

These things are not always easy to understand just by searching online. When someone who has actually lived in Korea explains it,it feels more real.

So when I saw the Life Shopping Global Seller recruitment,I felt a little happy.

“Oh, foreigners can also have this kind of role.”“My language and my experience are not just passing moments. They can actually be helpful to someone.”

That is what I thought.

Foreigners Living in Korea May Already Be Small K-Product Guides

My Indian friends sometimes ask me things.

“Which Korean cosmetics are good?”“What Korean snacks are popular?”“Are there products that K-POP idols use?”“Are Korean lifestyle products really good quality?”

At first, I thought they were just normal questions between friends. So I answered only as much as I knew.

“I tried this, and it was good.”“This snack is nice as a gift.”“My Korean friends use this cosmetic brand a lot.”

But when I think about it now, this is a small but meaningful connection.

I live in Korea,my friends are outside Korea or curious about Korean products, and I can stand in the middle and share my real experience.

It is okay even if my Korean is not perfect.

Sometimes, explaining things in my own languagefeels more comfortable and easier to understand.

From a foreigner’s point of view, this kind of thing can feel very meaningful.

Because it is not just “selling” Korean products. It is introducing the Korean life I have personally seen and feltin my own language.

Who Would the Life Shopping Global Seller Program Be Good For?

In my opinion, this program does not seem to be only for peoplewho already have professional sales experience.

Actually, I think it may be better for people like this.

Foreign students living in Korea, foreign residents who use SNS often, people who upload short videos on TikTok or Instagram, people who are active in Facebook groups or national communities, and people who like Korean products and enjoy introducing them to others.

Especially for foreign students, this can feel a little special.

Students study and live in Korea, and every day they meet Korean products and Korean culture closely.

They stop by convenience stores on the way to school, look around beauty stores with friends, try new drinks at cafés,buy Korean snacks at markets, and sometimes send photos to friends back home.

The fact that this kind of daily life can become contentfelt a little surprising and nice to me.

Because instead of preparing something with a lot of money from the beginning, you can start from the Korean life you already know.

“Do I Have to Speak Korean Well?” I Don’t Think So

When foreigners start something new,one of the first things they worry about is this.

“Is it okay if I don’t speak Korean well?”“What if my pronunciation sounds strange?”“What if people don’t trust me because I can’t explain perfectly?”

Honestly, I think about this a lot too.

When I write or speak in Korean,I sometimes worry that my sentences may sound awkward.

Even after I say something,I sometimes think again,

“Did I say that correctly?”

But I think one of the good things about being a global selleris that you do not have to use only Korean.

You can explain things to your friends in your own language.

Vietnamese, English, Nepali, Indonesian, Thai, Hindi, Tagalog, Mongolian…everyone can introduce Korean products in the language they are comfortable with.

Even if your Korean is not perfect, you can still talk about how the product felt when you used it,why it is popular in Korea, who it would be good for,and how to use it.

I felt that this part was very warm.

It does not feel like saying,“You cannot do it if your Korean is not good.”

It feels more like saying,“Your language can become your strength.”

Starting With Just a Smartphone Is Simple, But Not Meaningless

These days, so many things begin inside a smartphone.

Taking photos, making short videos, sending them to friends, posting stories, answering questions in comments, and talking through DMs.

Foreign students especially stay connected with friends and family back home through their phones.

They show their family their life in Korea, and they send photos of restaurants, products, or daily moments to friends.

The Life Shopping Global Seller program seems to fit well with this kind of lifestyle.

You do not need a big office. You do not need to fill a warehouse with products. And you do not need to understand a complicated sales system all by yourself from the beginning.

What matters iswhat products you can introduce, who you can talk to,and whether you can keep creating content.

Of course, “starting with just a smartphone”does not mean earning money easily without any effort.

You still need to make content, understand the products, answer people’s questions, and build trust.

But from the point of view of a foreigner who is just starting,it feels good that you can learn without too much pressure.

A Global Seller May Not Be Just Someone Who Sells Products

Before, when I heard the word “seller,”I simply thought it meant “a person who sells something.”

But after seeing this program,I started to feel a little differently.

A global seller seems more like someonewho connects Korean products with consumers overseas.

For example, even when introducing Korean cosmetics,if you simply say,

“This is good. Please buy it,”

it can feel a little stiff.

But when a foreign seller explains it with their own experience,it feels different.

“I first tried this after coming to Korea, and it helped when my skin felt dry.”“My Korean friends recommended this brand a lot.”“This would be nice as a gift.”“For the weather in my country, I think it would be better to use it like this.”

When you say it like that, the product feels more human.

Because the person’s life and experience are included in the explanation.

I trust that kind of explanation more.

Sometimes, a friend’s honest words feel closer to my heartthan a perfect advertisement.

So I think a global seller can bea small reviewer,a content creator, and also a guide who shares Korean life.

It Can Be a Good Opportunity for Foreigners Who Are Good at SNS

These days, many foreign friends are really good at TikTok and Instagram.

They naturally upload content aboutgoing to school in Korea, dorm life, convenience store food reviews,Korean cafés,how to use the subway, and stories about going to K-POP events.

When I see those friends,I sometimes feel a little jealous.

“How do they film so naturally?”“How do they explain things so well in a short video?”

I think about things like that. Haha.

The Life Shopping Global Seller program seems especially suitablefor people who have this kind of SNS sense.

Sometimes one short video can deliver the message better than a long explanation. And one nice photo can catch people’s attention.

Especially on TikTok,videos that feel too much like advertisements are not always attractive.

It feels better when a real person speaks naturally.

“Are you living in Korea?”“Do your friends often ask you about Korean products?”“Then try introducing them in your own language.”

This kind of natural message may be easier for people to listen to.

It Can Also Be a New Direction for Foreign Job Seekers

As a foreigner living in Korea, finding work is not always easy.

There can be language issues, visa issues, working hour rules to check, and sometimes you do not know what kind of work is right for you.

So I thought this kind of online-based activitycould become a new direction for foreign job seekers.

But there is something very important.

You must check your visa status, whether income-generating activity is allowed, and tax-related matters.

Especially for international students, there are visa conditions,so it may not be okay to start any kind of activity right away.

This part needs to be handled carefully.

That is why I think a program like Life Shoppingshould not only say, “Apply now.”

It should also have a structurewhere each person’s situation can be checkedthrough seller education and consultation.

For foreigners, this kind of guidance is really important.

At first, we may not know everything, and the Korean system can feel unfamiliar.

A small opportunity is good, but starting safely is even more important.

What I Think a Good Global Seller Looks Like

If I were to become a global seller,I would not want to exaggerate too much.

“You can definitely earn a lot of money.”“Anyone can succeed easily.”

These kinds of words feel a little uncomfortable and not very honest.

Instead, I would like to say this.

“If you like Korean products, and if you enjoy introducing them to people around you, this can be an opportunity to learn and try.”

A good global seller is not only someone who speaks well.

Actually, I think this kind of person may be a better fit.

Someone who can see a product directly and speak honestly, someone who can consistently upload photos or videos, someone who answers friends’ questions sincerely, someone who understands the taste of people from their own country, and someone who does not look only at money too quickly, but can build trust step by step.

Trust is really important on SNS.

If you exaggerate once, people notice quickly.

But if you introduce something sincerely, even a small account can get a response.

I think that is the way that lasts longer.

What Kind of Products Would Be Good to Introduce?

The first thing many foreign friends are interested inis probably K-Beauty.

Korean cosmetics are already popular in many countries, and many people are interested in skincare and makeup.

But it does not have to be only cosmetics.

K-Food is also good.

Korean snacks, ramen, sauces, tea, and healthy snackscan feel like nice giftsand are easy to talk about with friends.

Lifestyle products are also surprisingly good.

Convenient items that you often see only in Korea, small kitchen tools, organizing products, and cute design items.

Health products, fashion accessories, baby products, and Korean souvenir itemsmay also get different reactions depending on the country.

The important thing is not only thinking,“What product do I like?”

It is also thinking,“What product would my friends from my country like?”

For example, for Indian friends,I need to introduce products that fit the weather, skin type, and lifestyle culture.

Products that are good for Filipino friends, products that Vietnamese friends may like, and products that Nepali friends may needcan all be different.

The person who knows these differences bestmay be the foreigner who comes from that country.

That is why a global seller’s language and cultural understandingcan become a real asset.

Things to Check Before Starting

If I were to start global seller activities,I think I would check a few things first.

First, check whether my visa and residence status allow income-generating activities.

This is really important.

Especially if you are a student, you should check the rules related to your school or immigration status.

Second, organize the SNS accounts you use.

Among TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook,it is good to see which channel feels most comfortable for you.

Third, choose the product category you can introduce well.

Do you like cosmetics?Do you feel comfortable reviewing food?Do you prefer introducing lifestyle products?

It is good to think about this first.

Fourth, see what your friends from your country are actually curious about.

If your friends often ask about a certain product, that can be a good starting point.

Fifth, start with a small mission instead of having too big expectations.

If you try to become a perfect seller from the beginning,it can feel too stressful.

At first, even one piece of content, one review,or one short video is okay.

The Word “Language” Stayed With Me the Most

When I saw the Life Shopping Global Seller recruitment, the sentence that stayed with me the most was this.

“Introduce Korean products in your own language.”

I liked this sentence.

Because when you live as a foreigner, sometimes your own language can feel small inside Korean society.

You feel like you have to speak Korean better, learn more Korean-style expressions, and avoid making mistakes.

Of course, learning Korean is really important if you live in Korea.

I am also still learning.

But my own language is also a part of me.

The language of the country where I was born, the language I use with my family, and the language my friends feel most comfortable hearing.

If that language can become a powerto introduce Korean products to the world,I think that is a very good thing.

It feels like foreigners are not only people trying to adapt to Korea.

They can also become people who connect Korea with their own countries.

That made my heart feel a little warm.

This Recruitment Can Be Seen as More Than Just a Job Notice

When I saw this recruitment,I thought it would be a little wastefulto see it only as a simple “We are hiring sellers” notice.

This can be an opportunity to say to foreigners,

“Your experience of living in Korea also has value.”

Foreigners living in Koreaalready see Korean products every day.

They go to Korean cafés,visit convenience stores, pass by cosmetic shops, buy groceries at markets, eat delicious food with friends, and when they find a good product, they tell their friends back home.

All of these small momentscan become global seller content.

Of course, not everyone has to become a seller right away.

And this may not be the right work for everyone.

But if you like SNS,if you like Korean products, and if you enjoy sharing things with people,I think it is an opportunity worth looking into.

Who I Would Recommend the Life Shopping Global Seller Program To

To explain it simply,I think this program is suitable for people like this.

Foreigners who live in Korea and often experience Korean products, people who have introduced Korean products to friends or family before, people who use TikTok, Instagram, or Facebook, people who enjoy uploading short videos or photos, people who are connected to their own country’s community, people who want to explain Korean products in their own language, and people who want to slowly learn something new.

On the other hand,if someone thinks,

“I want to make money without any effort,”“I want to start right away without checking my visa,”or “I want guaranteed income,”

then I think they should be careful.

Seller activity is an opportunity, but it also comes with responsibility.

What I Want to Say to People Starting for the First Time

For me,doing something for the first time in Korea was always a little scary.

The first time I went to school, the first time I ate with Korean friends, the first time I transferred subway lines alone, and the first time I said a long sentence in Korean.

They were small things, but my heart felt nervous.

But after time passes,I realize that the first time is usually the hardest.Once you try it, you slowly get used to it.

I think being a global seller may be similar.

If you try to make the perfect video, perfect sale, and perfect explanation from the beginning,it can feel too much.

At first, you can simply choose one Korean product you likeand introduce it briefly in your own language.

“I tried this in Korea, and this part was good.”“I think this would be useful for people in my country too.”“I would recommend this product to this kind of person.”

Even this can be enough to start.

It is a small beginning, but if your experience and language are inside it,it does not feel like just an advertisement.

It feels more like a story.

Closing Thoughts

While living in Korea,I often feel this.

Living in a foreign country is not easy, but because of that, you can see things more carefullythat other people may just pass by.

A product that feels ordinary to Korean peoplecan feel new to me,and it can feel even more interesting to my friends back home.

If I can have a role in between,I think that is meaningful.

The Life Shopping Global Seller recruitmentis about introducing Korean products to the world.

But before that,to me, it felt like an opportunitythat respects the language and experience of foreigners.

If you are a foreigner living in Korea,if you like SNS,and if you want to introduce Korean products to people from your country,I think it is okay to slowly take a look.

At first, it may feel a little unfamiliar.

I also always feel nervous when starting something new.

But when you learn together instead of alone,it feels less scary.

And when you start with just one small piece of content, the pressure becomes lighter.

Sharing the things you have seen and felt in Koreain your own language,in your own way, with your own people.

I think that is really beautiful.

If your heart moved even a little, take a look at the Life Shopping Global Seller Program.

Maybe the Korean product you pass by every daycan become someone else’s very happy first meeting.
