국내성장인력 취업&자립 지원-[VISA_E-7-Y]

국내에서 자란 외국인 청소년을 위한 새로운 체류·취업 비자 E-7-Y 제도

법무부가 국내에서 성장한 외국인 청소년이 대학에 진학하지 않아도 한국에 계속 머물며 일하고 정착할 수 있도록 ‘국내성장인력(E-7-Y)’ 체류지원제도를 추진합니다.

대상은 만 19세 이상 24세 이하로, 18세가 되기 전 7년 이상 한국에서 체류했고 국내 초·중·고교를 졸업(또는 동등 학력·사회통합프로그램 5단계 이수)한 외국인 청소년입니다.

이 제도를 통해 대학 진학 없이도 국내 취업 시 학력·경력 제한 없이 E-7-Y 비자로 변경할 수 있고, 미취업자는 최대 3년까지 구직비자(D-10-1)로 체류하며 일자리를 찾을 수 있습니다. 이후 인구감소지역 등에 4년 이상 거주하며 E-7-Y 또는 D-10-1 자격을 유지하면 지역특화우수인재(F-2-R) 자격으로 변경해 장기 정주도 가능합니다.

Title: New E-7-Y Visa: Supporting Foreign Youth Raised in Korea

The Ministry of Justice has introduced the “Domestically Grown Talent (E-7-Y)” program so that foreign youths who grew up in Korea can continue to live, work and settle here even if they do not go on to university.

Eligible applicants are 19–24 years old, have stayed in Korea for at least 7 years before turning 18, and have graduated from Korean elementary, middle or high school (or hold an equivalent qualification such as completion of KIIP Level 5).

Through this scheme, they can change to the E-7-Y work visa without strict academic or career requirements when they get a job in Korea. Those who are still looking for a job may stay up to three years on a job-seeker visa (D-10-1). If they live for at least four years in designated depopulation or local areas while holding E-7-Y or D-10-1 status, they may later qualify for the regional talent residence visa F-2-R and build a long-term future in Korea.
