겨울철 한파 대비! 수도계량기(수도관) 동파 예방법 4가지

한파가 오면 수도계량기·배관이 얼어 단수/누수/수리비로 이어질 수 있어요. 아래 4가지만 미리 해두면 동파 위험을 크게 줄일 수 있습니다.

1) 장시간 외출할 땐 “물을 아주 약하게” 틀어두기

• 특히 기온이 -5℃ 이하로 2일 이상 이어질 때는수도가 살짝 흐르도록 수도꼭지를 조금 열어두세요.

2) 계량기함(보온통) 안을 보온재로 채우기

• 계량기함 내부로 찬 공기가 들어오지 않도록헌옷, 헝겊, 수건 등으로 빈 공간을 채워 보온하세요.

3) 얼었을 땐 “미지근한 물수건(약 15℃)”으로 천천히 해동

• 갑자기 뜨거운 물을 붓지 마세요.급격한 온도 변화로 배관이 파손될 수 있습니다.

4) 드라이기는 “약한 온도(저온)”로 서서히 해동

During cold waves, water meters and pipes can freeze, causing no water, leaks, and repair costs. Follow these four simple steps to reduce the risk.

1) Let the tap drip slightly when leaving for a long time

• If the temperature stays below -5°C for more than 2 days,leave the tap slightly open so water keeps flowing.

2) Insulate the meter box

• Fill the meter box with old clothes or rags to block cold air and keep it warm.

3) If frozen, thaw slowly with a lukewarm wet towel (about 15°C)

• Do not pour hot water suddenly.Rapid temperature changes may cause pipes to burst.

4) Use a hair dryer on low heat to thaw slowly

• Use low heat and take your time for safer thawing.
